What's in my Bag: My Camera Gear in 2019

I get asked about what camera and lenses I use all the time so I made this page to share what I use to capture weddings, couples and my personal work.

Leica M10 - I fell in love with Leica cameras last year as my personal companions for my travels but I’ve been using them more and more at weddings and for other shoots. They’re small, super fun to use and force you to slow down and think before pressing the shutter. Read more.

Leica M2 (analog) - I love experimenting with film. If I need to pack light and only bring one camera on a trip, it’s usually this one.. Made in the sixties but still such a beast. See some film photos I took with the M2.

Summarit 35mm f2.5 - Leica quality lens for reasonable price. Other brands just don’t even come close when it comes to image quality, sharpness and overall character.

Summilux 50mm f1.4 - I don’t really use 50mm lenses that much but this one is legendary and has such a unique look. I’ve never seen a sharper lens.

Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 - one of the cheaper Leica lenses made by Voigtlander. It’s alright. Has unique old school character and is super light weight so I have it on my M2 most of the times.

Sony a7iii - My workhorse that recently replaced my Fuji setup. It’s everything I needed from a camera - reliable, fast, nice colors. Read the review.

Zeiss 35mm f1.4 - My favorite focal length. It’s pretty heavy but super sharp and fast, stays on my Sony 90 percent of a time.

Sony 85mm f1.8 - I pretty much only use the 85 at weddings, it’s great for sneaky reaction photos and all those little looks during the ceremony and reception.
